On December 16, 2007, the Austin Ron Paul Meetup Group held a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party in conjunction with the grassroots fundraiser. We had our own baby blimp and drum and fife corps.

We started at the Texas Capitol.

We made speeches and rallied for Ron Paul. Our intention was to march down the sidewalks to Auditorium Shores on Lady Bird Lake for a reenactment of the Boston Tea Party.

After seeing the number of people who showed up, the APD decided to shut down the right side of Congress Ave. and to give us a motorcycle escort. It was absolutely wonderful marching down Congress to the drum and fife corps playing Yankee Doodle and other patriotic songs.

We arrived at Auditorium Shores with our crates of “tea”.

The crates were loaded on a boat that traveled up to Auditorium Shores and was attacked by Patriots in canoes.

It was a great day!
