Why the Muslim shot the Jews in Seattle

That the man is a Muslim and a US citizen is no surprise. I have reported previously that Muslims cannot be good Americans. The man might even be an American College-educated Muslim like Mohammed Taheri-azar, the 2005 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate who tri...

"First of all, where do you get that Dr. Fadhli is Islamic? By assuming his name is Arabic? He may be, he may not be. The article says nothing about his faith."

Yes, I assume that he is Islamic because of his name. I will update to post to note that I am making the assumption. Plus, I find that the media routinely leaves out information about the fact that random shooters in some of these incidents are Muslim. Given the call for jihad over the Israeli conflict, I think that such an inquiry is relevant

"I can tell you this from my experience working with him — he strikes me as being anything close to a terrorist or “Islamic fascist.”"

Funny, that's the same sort of report that is being given about the shooter in Seattle.

If it is the case that he was reacting to the attempted robbery of his wife and child, that certainly puts the story in context. I would then ask why the media did not report that the bicyclist was armed at the time of the shooting incident.

I hope that there is some explanation other than jihadism. Given that the doctor was born in the United States and seemed to be totally American would make a jihadist connection frightening.

In the meantime, I'm all for profiling and exploring that possibility.

I can tell you this from my experience working with him -- he strikes me as being anything close to a terrorist or "Islamic fascist." He's a pediatrics resident and a caring doctor who loves his children (sometimes he would call in after someone paged him and you could hear the smile in his voice and his kids in the background).

Of course, this story was being discussed quite a bit at the hospital on Friday, with some people saying they had heard speculation that the man on the bike had just attempted to rob Dr. Fadhli's wife and son at gunpoint. Sure, maybe the shooting was a bit of an overreaction, but given the circumstances, I'm sure he's not the only one who would have resorted to his own form of justice to protect his family.

Give it time for the facts to come out. I could be wrong, but many of here are surprised by this and awaiting the truth before we judge Dr. Fadhli.
